I also experienced a nasal perforation following the use of a CPAP, however my ENT suggested that it was actually the CPAP which may have been the culprit. I am an active duty military member, so obviously cocaine use is not possible. I am not a "nose picker" either. I was living in Colorado at the time the perforation was discovered and the CPAP I was using was an older machine. The humidifier just couldn't seem to adequately keep my nasal passages from drying out overnight, especially during the winter months. I have since gotten a much better CPAP and I have recently had a surgical procedure to repair the perforated septum. I saw a previous comment about the possibility of it healing on its own, and from everything I've been told, that is not possible. Hopefully the repair will be successful. It's only been about a week since I had the surgery. So far, so good...
