head gear slides off
Does anyone have info on to keep pillow mask from slipping off your head while sleeping. I find it off my head every night even with hair clips and hat trying to hold it on.
Re: head gear slides off
I used to take my mask off in my sleep till I got used to it, sounds like that may be your problem. Try wearing the mask watching tv, just the mask, no machine. This is how I got used to it. Now there is no more problems...good luck and don't give up.buffmeistersmom wrote:Does anyone have info on to keep pillow mask from slipping off your head while sleeping. Re: head gear slides off
I sometimes wear my hair in a ponytail, pretty high up on my head so it doesn't bother me if I lay on my back. It also helps keep the headgear in place. Over a year in, high compliance, I still sometimes get the mobile headgear...prob time for new, in my case.
Have you tried padacheek? Might be the extra bulk on your cheek area helps hold things still.
Good luck.

Thanks you all, been sleeping with a hat on that ties under my chin but gets very hot in the deep south to do that. Tried clipping my hair to the straps but that pulled what little hair out that I have. Even with the fight to keep my button mask on I do feel much better. Will conquer this thing yet.

Maybe one of these might work?

Re: head gear slides off
I don't use nasal pillows any more but I did use them for over a year, early on in my therapy. I tried the velcro trick but my hair was too fine for that to work. Out of desperation I finally looped a 4" long piece of 3M NexCare mulitpore tape around the lower back strap (you can use white athletic tape too), then ran the tail end down the back of my neck. Finally at the bottom of the tape I put another 2" piece of tape horizontally and on the middle/back (nape) of my neck, thereby securing the vertical tape. To sum up, basically all I did was stick the back strap of the headgear to the back of my neck with a strip of tape. I'd take a picture but I don't have that setup anymore.
Shave your neck if you have to. If you've got long hair, just split it to the sides in two bunches and proceed. You don't have to replace the tape down the back of your neck every day (I used to replace that about once every two weeks), but obviously you do have to replace horizontal piece that sticks to your neck every night. Works like a charm for men or women, however is a PITA to do every night... but, hey, it works. BTW, Supine sleeping made my back strap slide up.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I use two of those computer cord straps with velcro on one end. They go from one side to the other across my head. Not sure is this is what you need.
Those that are totally velcro from one end of the strap to the other hurt.
