I have returned 2 "Phillips Remstar Auto A-Flex" machines in the past 6 months for this problem. on the second occasion they claimed that the whiny high pitch noise is due to the fact that the pressure of my exhale was stronger then the pressure of the machine thereby causing the motor spin the opposite direction. this was burning out the motor?!? I'm not sure of how valid this is but thought maybe others have heard the same thing?

If they did, they were probably hearing lies. Jim
