Been using the machine for over 18 months, so anything out of the ordinary is therefore unusual... recently, when I turn on the machine, it powers up, but fails to turn on any airflow. There is a message which says something to the effect "Remove SD card to start". If I pop the SD card out and quickly re-insert it, the machine starts normally thereafter (CPAP 10, no ramp).
Same thing if I pause the machine in the middle of the night to use the bathroom... it will not restart unless I remove the card and re-insert. Any ideas? With the expertise on this board, I have little doubt someone will know excatly what is happening!
I do periodically remove the SD card to download the data into SleepyHead on several different computers.

Re: New Issue with ResMed S9 Elite
I would suspect a corrupted SD card, especially since you have been removing and replacing the card for SleepyHead. Try a different SD card.
Should you need it, the SD Card Association makes available on their website official free utilities for erasing SD cards.

Re: New Issue with ResMed S9 Elite
My first suspect would be the SD card also.
I would get a brand new one and see what happens with it. If you still experience the problem then a trip to the DME would be in order to have the machine evaluated....do it while still under warranty (2 years).
SD cards are relatively inexpensive and you don't have to use a ResMed brand name SD card.
