HOW TO USE S9 VPAP WITHOUT WATER?

I AM PLANNING A TRIP AND DON'T WANT TO CARRY BOTTLES OF WATER SO I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO USE TH RESMED S9 VPAP WITHOUT USING THE WATER CHAMBER. I'LL HAVE LESS TO CARRY ON PLANE. THANKS EVERYONE

I don't have the S9, but do have the Aircurve and had the Airsense. On those machines there is a setting in the menu for humidity and I just turned it off and don't put water in the tank. Also for those machines I could have bought a plastic part to stick in the end of the machine instead of the water tank that would have made it shorter.

On my machines I need to have the tank in place, dry, to be able to set the temperature

Simply unhook the humidifier and attach the hose to the main unit.

You don't necessarily need to cart water around with you. I just use tap water or pick up a small bottle of drinking water when I travel...,.,.. of course when you get home you will have to give your tank a good cleaning to clean out the minerals that have accumulated by using other than distilled water.

If you leave the humidifier behind, be sure you have a non-heated hose. I believe the heated hose won't fit on the blower unit without the humidifier attached.

You can leave the humidifier attached and just turn the heat down to zero by turning the knob to the left.

Pretty much any drinkable normal water is OK for the humidifier. Dump the water out and rinse the tank in the morning, and wipe the tank clean. Fill it in the evening before going to bed.
