Not many people around here have them because the experienced users here would always recommend buying machines that are supported by the wonderful free SleepyHead software so that they can monitor their therapy.
If you bought it from a DME, I would definitely take it back and have them check it with and without the humidified. Their manometer will provide accurate pressure readings in both cases.
But if you bought it mail order, you are probably at the mercy of the company that you bought it from. Contact them and see if they are willing to do anything or if they refer you to the manufacturer. If the latter, go ahead and contact the manufacturer agent that they refer you to.
It looks like their webpage is here: http://www.apexmedicalcorp.com/ but be aware that the major cpap companies do not normally deal directly with the end user and either don't respond or refer people to a DME. I don't know if Apex operates the same way or not.

One thing I have not told you is that I live in the boondocks of Northern Thailand where there is no service capability.
I am traveling at the moment, but as soon as I get home I propose to build a manometer to check out the very issues you are raising. My confidence in the accuracy of the machine, purchased in the US and set to my sleep disorder clinic's prescription, is under severe challenge.
Another possibility is that there is a large built-in drop in pressure when a humidifier is attached and given I bought the two together, this has already been compensated for in the settings. I'm sure a reply from the manufacturer's customer service department will shed some light on this. I have found them to be very helpful in the past.

Apex head office never reply, but (living in Thailand) I have found their Asian rep in China MOST helpful in the past. I am already aware of the Apex/Resmed dispute. I won't say more here but it was precisely the way that the big R have pooped in their own nest here that I chose to avoid them.
