The Resmed internet price increase will NOT take effect 9/04/06. Resmed has postponed implementation for some unknown reason . Can anyone else provide more info?

Maybe it was all a ruse to begin with..... or, as -SWS said "They came to their senses?", or none of the others wanted to follow suit, or some of the DMEs (as was reported) are switching to Respironics, or maybe they got lots of angry e-mails and messages from users, or.......MAYBE they read these forums?

Maybe someone there could see the bottom line falling, I wonder when they are going to start selling worldwide, and end their second worst sales decision. Maybe the old head of marketing, jumped out a window with his Golden Parachute, and they got a new Chimp to take his place. Jim

This is great news! Common sense usually prevails when reasonable people examine an issue under informed analysis. I'm sure it was a combination of internet CPAP forums, DME feedback, and many people who took the time to contact them directly.

There should be, for all products, various forms of distribution to support differing end user requirements. Let the marketplace decide which form best suits each individual's needs!

I do not believe they will recover their reputation as a result of what they tried to do to the poor without insurance.

very sad

The delay in the price increase was blamed by Resmed on some sort of an internal administrative issue. Apparently, Resmed has told dealers they are going to enforce the price increase on some future date. It looks like a reprieve and nothing more but maybe something has happened to cause them pause. Who knows?

Maybe the lawyers are taking another (or first) look at it?

Be fair - if their stock price has been downgraded it is because it has flown so high. If you check it over the past few weeks, it was one stock that hardly bounced during the recent Lebanon scare - it held its value while most slid.

Stock downgrades (assuming there was one - do you have a link to it) will often follow on a stock that is going up faster than it ought to, according to the analyst issuing the downgrade.

I'm SO disappointed that you guys can't figure this out. Its a PLAIN as the nose on my face why they "rescinded" their planned price increases!

Their CFO and marketing guys switched to Remstars, got a GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP for a change, and suddenly weren't as CRANKY.

Simple. QED.

Remstar

Post by GoofyUT » Wed Aug 16, 2006 9:10 pm

Paul, I'm just waiting for my DT3000 card reader to arrive so I can get some numbers out of my Remstar Auto. Though I have lots of subjective impressions, I'd like to be able to include some objective readings as well. I have a fair database of numbers with my ResMed, for comparison with the Remstar.

I should have the card reader soon, and as soon as I do, I'll download and look at the data and then post something.

Thanks for your patience Paul.

Chuck
