Why? It IS a Cpap forum and you do not get to decide what's fitting (no pun intended!) and what isn't. We've been here a lot longer than you and can choose what we respond to and how. You're a grown person who should by now be able to dress yourself.
There really is no need for you to be so insulting.

Perhaps the awkwardness of the post is making people uncomfortable but do we really want to start picking and choosing what can be discussed here as if we start doing that, then essentially we are becoming a moderated board that various posters in this thread have spoken out against.

Heck, I get my panties in a wad at least once a week and need to vent about it!!

I am an apnea sufferer and this is the only sleep forum I post on.
this isn't a sleep forum, it's a CPAP forum.
It is silly to think you can only post specifically CPAP problems here.
it's silly that you think you're going to get a reasonable answer here to your panties problems.

Thank goodness, it's not our job to pick and chose. I'd guess 30% of the posts by people here are in the running. Mostly due to the posters inability to read or use a search function on the internet. Jim

I don''t think you know what a troll is. It's too bad no one will give me a serious response, as if I had not already looked on google first. I'm just trying to get better sleep, like most people on this forum.

A troll is someone who posts something they don't believe to get a reaction. This is an issue that affects my sleep at time and I want to resolve it so I get better sleep. I should thank Wulfman as the only one to give me a helpful response. The other responses are not at all what I was hoping for. I won't post any more in this thread, obviously there is no point.

And to be clear, like I said in the first post, I wear boxers...

As you may have noticed, there is an abundance of non-cpap discussion here.

You know when I first read the original post my initial thoughts were along the lines of many here.....making fun of the question and what went through my mind wasn't helpful so that's why I didn't respond. I get no joy in making flippant response that really all they do is make fun of what someone has said...but I do admit to thinking them. I am human after all and I come with all the same warts that everyone else does. No need to share my original thoughts...they weren't at all useful and in fact were quite more along the lines of smart ass remarks.

Now today...after I have had a particularly difficult past few days...I am looking at this through different eyes. Don't know why but I am so here are my thoughts.

Comfortable sleep is one of our priorities along with cpap use. Let's face it....if we aren't comfortable we don't sleep so great with or without our cpap stuff. It's not just mask comfort...it's comfort in all aspects of our bedtime routine. We often talk about all aspects of bed comfort...from bed pillows to mattresses and we are all fairly comfortable with it but when it comes to what we wear (or don't wear) to bed it seems like we get the that's TMI thoughts. I know that went through my mind along with some smart ass thoughts.

So I sit here drinking my morning coffee and trying to clear my head and think to myself "what would I do in this situation". It's hard for me because I have never had it happen to me but I have tried to strangle myself with whatever I have chosen to wear as a top. Usually a T shirt in my case and one of my husband's T shirts because he is so much larger than me. What would I do if it were the bottoms that I found were trying to strangle me? I would probably just take the damn things off and sleep commando... I know again probably TMI but with the oversized T shirt it long enough to cover the important areas in case of a house fire. Now I know some guys don't like commando because of the anatomical parts that tend to move around a lot and thus create other problems.

Boxers are just bigger and looser in most situations. I find them quite comfy myself and I have a pair of silk boxers (hubby hates them though I thought it was a helluva nice gift) that make really nice pj bottoms for me. They don't stick to my skin or ride up anywhere they shouldn't. They are big on me.

So...long story...this is going to be just another one of those YMMV things and you are going to have to try different things to see what works the best for you..
I think over sized might be a good starting point and don't laugh but try a good quality silk that is bigger than what you normally where. So maybe silk in a large than what you normally wear size.
Second experiment would be go totally in the other direction and something that doesn't have any extra material to move around...something like those undershorts that have legs...I think they are called trunk briefs or something like that. They go down the thighs...some further than others and go with the ones that go down further so it lessens the chance of crawling up. Those are what my husband prefers and when they get old and tired and too loose they start crawling up even in the daytime and he hates it so it's time to retire them.
