My airway seems worse after starting cpap.

Post by Trasher5000k » Mon Sep 07, 2015 2:52 pm

I do not know about anyone else. But does it seem the airway becomes more obstructed after using a cpap. I realize this after trying to take a nap with my son and having more trouble to nap than I have ever before.

Please post your equipment and settings, some settings can do what you describe and make it quite uncomfortable to use the CPAP even though the treatment is working for the apnea's

Please clarify something. Were you trying to take a nap with or without your cpap machine?

Good question Pugsy, as usual.

Ditto to Pugsy's question. Also want to mention that increased awareness can be a factor. Things that I never noticed about my breathing before became glaringly obvious once I knew what was happening.

Something to think on, also...many of us are sensitive to humidity levels. I get nasty headaches and swollen sinuses if the level isn't rot. And that takes tweaking to find what YOUR body loves. Or hates.

Many of us thought nothing of sleeping without CPAP before we had it. Once we adapted to the therapy, you'd be hard-pressed to get us to even take a nap without it. Is it because of the CPAP therapy, or is this just how bad things were before we started?

Who cares. You have OSA, you need a CPAP, use it....

When you are used to feeling lousy, lousy is OK.
Once you have a taste of the "good stuff", your standards rise.
Deal with it.
