Last night was the first night ever that my S8 Elite reported 0 apneas and only 3.9 hypops.
Since beginning CPAP on 6/5/06 I have always had some apneas, although often it reported a decimal figure like .9 or something. Hypops always higher but usually in single digits.
Maybe I'm getting used to it.
Just felt like reporting some success to balance all the reports of problems folks have. To let people having problems know that they just need to hang in there.

Congrats!
I'm so glad that you're doing so well.
Please bear in mind that your S8 is reporting AHI, AI and HI, which means that you wre having, on average, 3.9 hypops per hour, not TOTAL (unless you yourself did the math and divided your HI by the number of hours you were on the mask).
Now, an HI of 3.9 is VERY good, and ResMeds are known to score hypops aggressively, so your 3.9 is truly splendid. What I've found to be useful is to spend the night hooked to my Nellcor N-395 pulse oximeter, in order to see whether any of those hypops that the S8 is scoring had any clinical implications regarding oxygen desaturations (which is what this all about, after all). You might find that those hypops are either inconsequential, or else, might be artifacts scored while you were awake and settling into sleep. Just a thouhgt.
Hope this helps!

Congrats. I actually had my first ever night with no Apneas this past Sunday night. Ever since I got my S8 Vantage APAP about 4.5 weeks ago, my AHI has been below 5 every night with maybe one or two nights where it was slightly higher. My Apneas usually range between .8 - 1.9 and my Hypops are usually in the range of 1.8 - 2.9. I also had my lowest leak rate ever on Sunday night too. It was .08.

Yes, I'm aware those are per hour numbers.
Wish I could spend the night with the oximeter... I will have to Google that one and see how much it is. But the one's I have seen so far are more than I want to spend unless I had a REALLY good reason.
