LOL. Upside down pillow mask.
LOL. Upside down pillow mask.
Last night I was having a devil of a time with my mask. Either not enough flow or major leakage. Pressure would spurt up. About half way through the night, I realized that the mask was upside down. Once I flipped it over, of course, it worked a lot better. Figured I'd share it so that at least a little levity might result from a bad night's sleep.

Re: LOL. Upside down pillow mask.
On the P10 you can check this in the dark by rubbing your fingers on the frame. There are raised ResMed letters on the top of the frame. Look for them in the day and then you will know how to check it out at night.

Re: LOL. Upside down pillow mask.
The P10 also has the tube mounted at a slight downward angle.
If I can cup my palm over the mask to hose joint, I've got it right. If I find a ditch, I need to flip it.
I have thought about sewing a couple seed beads onto the headgear where I can feel them.
Or fringe, or maybe a tassel. . . .

Re: LOL. Upside down pillow mask.
I made this mistake last night too! I examined it this morning and figured out about the lettering on the top and the angle of the hose, so hopefully it won't happen again.
It's actually a pretty clever design. While looking at it today and thinking about how I had read that people said to wash the strap in hot water to get it to shrink again, it occurred to me that one could shorten the strap if necessary by making the slit where it attaches on one side longer and putting a couple of stitches in it. This would, in effect, shorten the strap a little. I don't know if it will ever get to that point, but it seems quite possible to shorten the strap should it become necessary.

there's also a smooth spot on the bottom side under the pillows, which is how I find which way is up in the darkOkyDoky wrote:On the P10 you can check this in the dark by rubbing your fingers on the frame.
