CPAP machine as part of hand luggage?

Hi peeps! First time here nice to meet you all

I'm flying out tomorrow afternoon on a first choice holiday/Thomson airways.

Just had a thought, can I carry on the CPAP machine separately? or does it have to go in with my hand luggage? I did just try phoning but they are closed now

Any help much appreciated

Medical equipment...like CPAP...does not count as a carry on. You can carry it on IN ADDITION to your regular carry on.
You can tag your CPAP if you wish....

Depends on where you are flying to...

Thomson airways out of the UK? FAA flight rules for CPAP and other medical equipment is for US Flights. Flights starting or ending in the US. It has no coverage for flights completely outside of the US or legs of a trip if you transfer to another flight to the final destination..

Ie.. if you have a flight from the US, to London, and then a flight from London to Spain, the last leg is not covered by US FAA rules..

If your airline allows it great... but you need to check because a lot of people get burned on this.

• It was misleading what it was (thought it was a doc about flight info) not a simple luggage tag which is publicly available from many sources without requesting permission to view it.
• It was not an open share link but required requesting permission from the user to be allowed to view it. Not clear until you had made the request and no way to undo the request.
• Not even relevant if the user is really in the UK and not flying to the US or a US teritory (they never said). The FAA flight rule only works for US flights touching the US.

You should have specified what the document was, and put in on an open share without any permission requests required.

Just about all share services can do that, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Mega ....

Ok just rung them and they have allocated an extra 5kg for my machine.
This can be taken on in an extra bag.
So you NEED to phone, otherwise I'm guessing it will be complicated once there.

Missing the real question, where are you flying to.
