Trazodone

Does sleep medication like Trazodone affect OSA? I have found that I can tolerate my CPAP a little better and get longer wear times if I drug myself into a coma with my mask on.

I remember reading something that sleep medicine causes worse sleep than with out... Is that true even when wearing CPAP?

Although, Trazadone does produce some pretty good results too

I don't think "drugging" yourself into a coma is a good idea with or without a mask. However, I do take 50mg Trazodone about 1/2 hour before bed. It seems to relax me. Didn't change my numbers at all.

If you are having a difficult time with your mask, maybe you need to try others. A mask that is comfortable is the most important part of successful treatment.
