Hi vtdumptrucker,

You should start with the user manual of your AirCurve where it'll show you basic infos of the screen available to you. Then you should go in the "Announcements" section of this forum (just under the big "Post a New Topic" button) and read "Where A CPAP Newbie Should Start" by Jules and "CPAP Basics - - Table of Contents" by mollete A LOT of good infos in those links. Don't try to understand everything at first as it can be a bit overwhelming in the beginning of our therapy but you'll understand a lot more as you read, especially for basic stuff like the screen data on your machine.

AirCurve are fairly new machine so not a lot of people have those yet. But all data capable machine have a lot of the same infos available from the device screen, it's just presented differently.

Good luck with your therapy!

No problem and remember, it take some time for many of us to start feeling better. In my case, my improvements are on a weekly basis where I notice some little improvement every week. Some notice big improvement on the first night but they're more "the lucky ones" than the norm! As for a "newbie" I would think that the first think to try is understanding AHI, leaks and hours of use and how they can affect your therapy. Once you'll start to "get" those 3, you'll be able ask more specific questions that many people here will be more than please to answer. You'll also be able to move on to more complex stuff like using a software to see ALL the data that your machine collect during the therapy. The infos you see on your device's screen is only the tip of the iceberg!
