Please, someone could buy from ebay or something a generic reader that works on Respironic smarcard that is cheaper than the original one?
If so, please, can you tell from where you bought so I can buy too, because the original is very expensive.
Thanks.

Re: Respironics Smartcard Reader
Generic won't work at all. Sorry. It has to be the name brand Infineer DT 3500. And no one has ever built their own that I know of.
I used to know of a place that sold the Infineer DT3500 for $40 but last I looked they has sold out and the item was listed as discontinued.
I have seen a couple on EBay in the past but nothing recently.
Since the machines it is used for have been discontinued 5 years now the demand isn't very much.

Re: Respironics Smartcard Reader
Those old readers are no longer being made and so the prices for them are usually very high. It's a very old technology.
I bought a Respironics 550P for $100 on craigslist and it uses regular SD memory cards that are extremely cheap and easy to buy and can be read in many computers or with an SD card reader that costs less than $10.
I know that that's not the answer you wanted, but it's the reality of the situation.
