Tore mask off while asleep

Post by Corky1121 » Mon Jul 13, 2015 3:00 pm

Has anyone woke up with mask off. I have been 100 percent compliant since June 26. I am fine with mask. But, last night I must have taken it off while sleeping and it was still all connected. I had chin strip on top and that was off too. Very strange.
Diagnosed after home study with 37 obstructive Apneas. Indexed at 22 Per hour. Moderate Apnea. Have suffered migraines and waking up stiff and tired and at times with muscle spasms.

If it NEVER happens to you, you may consider yourself unusual.
It just happens. Blame it on your bad self, forgive, and put it back on to sleep.

It happens a lot to a lot of us when new... was it particularly warm there last night? Some people tape the straps to their cheeks when it happens when they're not really aware of it, so they'll wake up enough to get it back on (you could try 3M micropore tape from the drugstore if it happens again).

Thank you. If it keeps happening I will try taping it. I don't remember taking it off. I woke 5am and it was on floor.

I must be different, I can't sleep lying down with my mask and machine off. I have to get up.
