Waking up every hour

Post by Hensbili » Sun Jun 21, 2015 1:37 pm

So i used my transcendd ez auto cpap during my 2 days travel. The hotel was nice but both nights I had very poor sleep. Kept waking up every hour. It reminded me of the sleep I had before cpap.when i first used my resmed, I never had this problem nor during my titration study where they used some other kind of cpapa machine. After I arrived home, i checked my ahi and it says 2.2. When I was uisng my resmed, it was always below 1. I used the same nose pillow. So does this mean I just got lucky with resmed during mu first try and people most often have to try a couple of brands/types?

If you bought your transcend from cpap.com and you are not happy with it...they have a 21 day return option..

Are both machines set to the same pressures? Both using similar humidity settings?

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Which do you think you would enjoy more making a long road trip in....
A nice big roomy Lexus or a small compact Hyundai?

Different machines...the ResMed and the Transcend..different algorithms and the way they do things...different machines make different sounds...and finally the body has gotten used to one way of doing things and you change it from the Lexus to the Hyundai compact and even if it is okay with the change it can take a period of time before it fully adjusts.

Did you not check it out with a night at home first to see how it would work for you away from home?

Another thing to keep in mind is that when travelling, you may be in a very different climate relative to humidity, and the setting you use at home may need adjusting to accommodate local conditions.

No humidifier on my travel one. I wonder whether that's a big factor. I actually upped the min setting of the travel one because I felt like there is no air. I periodically open my mouth to make a large check and to cause the cpap to ramp up to see if it was on.
