P10s to a mouth-covering mask-- recs for TMJ sufferer?

Post by Sibbs » Fri Jun 19, 2015 1:42 pm

I've tried the various methods of keeping my mouth closed at night with my AirFit P10s (which I love and find comfortable) and am ready to give a hybrid or traditional mask a shot to see if I like that better.

One quirk, I have TMJ. Any suggestions on hybrid, or other masks that might be well suited to trying something other than my nasal pillows?

Hello Sibbs,

I use a Mirage Quattro FFM, I have tried the hybrids and nose masks, always gone back to my first mask, the Mirage Quattro FFM. I also have TMJ in my right jaw and this mask causes no problems at all for me. I use a size small, it fits just above bottom lip and just at top of nose. I find that the small size fits better than the one the Dr told me to use, a Medium. Hope this helps you some as to the mask used with TMJ...good luck.

What "various methods" have you tried? I have occasional TMJ problems and I use the Quattro FF Mask

To keep the mouth from opening and drying out at night? Chin strap, even low tack masking tape.

I've got stress related TMJ.... when I get stressed, I clench my teeth and the pain comes..

The Quattro FFM works great for me.. I've got higher pressures than a lot of folks here..
