Not sure it cluelessness (not a word but oh well). I bet it's market research related. People are supposed to look better on their backs. The other thing that gets me is the people laying on their backs in those ads don't look like people who have SA. Too young and too fit looking!

it's like that pic that was circulated here a while back of some guy wearing a mask and the babe (no, really) in bed looking at him lustily...
