Drooling in masks

Post by Pauls poison » Mon May 18, 2015 8:51 pm

Hello all, i have been reading posts on drooling.well I have been CPAP for 1 mth. Different nose masks.i m not a nose breather, done the usual nasal rinse, nasonex. Suggested to take nasonex for a month to see if it clears inflammation nasal cavity , So now I'm using Quattro air mask.drooling is such a pain as disrupted sleep,to wipe away the drool.i have tried chin strap to keep mouth closed a bit,no good.panty liner, lol, tissues, but they end up in your mouth or just annoying you. I don't want cause of death chocked on women's panty liner, lol, so tonite I will try paper tape to hold the tissue secure .seen specialist yesterday he said you may have to see nose specialist. Damm don't wish to go that path, just want to continue to be a mouth breather. CPAP machines and accessories so expensive I mean $300 for a face mask geez,I have always been a mouth breather, and a little bit of a dribbler lol. Oh my score on sleep study was 41 per hour

What's your humidifier setting?
Maybe you're using too much (or too little) and need to experiment with that aspect.
Too much warm humid air can cause more congestion for some people.

In the beginning I did that a bit. I would take some tissue and put it in the bottom of the mask and no big deal. Not common now years later.
