Is there anywhere in BC Canada preferably in the Okanagan I can donate my late husband's cpap machines?

I'd try Kijiji if you have it there, otherwise why not inquire of the e.g. United Way for people in need of it - they may know how to put the word out.

Check with local sleep centers. I know mine provides machines for those who can't afford them.

We are so sorry for your loss, and kudos for thinking of others in this difficult time for you. You could try to see if secondwind.com can use those machines, if they aren't too old, or you could also try to sell them on Craigslist, or even sell or give them away here on this message board if you have really low prices or if you want to give them away for just the cost of postage. If you are offering a CPAP or auto-cpap machine for the price of postage, please sign me up! I am in the USA but willing to pay postage for a machine sight unseen if postage is not over $50.00 USD. Many people (me included) can't afford a new machine because of the high deductibles insurances are requiring these days.My deductibe is $1500 this year, and I have little chance of meeting it unless I get really sick ( God forbid) or have a catastrophic accident. My machine is >4 yrs old and I don't have a back-up machine for when it breaks. It terrifies me to know some night I will not be able to sleep in the bed when my machine gives out, and I can't afford to buy another one. I don't want to sleep sitting up in a recliner but that is what I will be required to do when my CPAP machine stops working.
I hope you have good luck in finding somewhere in Canada to give those machines a new home, but you could do a wonderful service with those machines as your gifts for someone in need.

FYI, Kijiji now delete all CPAP device advertised - they said that this is a medical device and require prescription.

Best bet is advertised locally in your local Kijiji or send to one for the member of this forum

Yes I have heard it is illegal to sell them second hand due to them being a prescription device.

That is why I would like to donate it to a place where it would be used for a low income patient.
