my new sleep study says I need a bipap with setting of 25/20. That seems so high to me. Does anyone else have a high setting?
I'm kind of afraid of it.
What bi pap machine should I get?

Re: bi pap
Hi - can you provide more info, like some idea of what your sleep study results were? The reason for bipap vs Cpap IS because you have high settings and most cpap machines won't cut it, let alone the masks. I wouldn't be afraid as much as I'd be happy to finally get some good sleep, but there are people here with experience of bipaps (not me ) so I'm sure they'll have more to say.

Yes, more information would be helpful here. Try to get the detailed sleep study results, not just the summary.
Also, with pressures that high, you might want to talk to your doctor to prescribing an "auto" bi-level, since you can configure those to use slightly less pressure most of the time, but bump themselves up to higher pressure when you need it. That might make it a little bit of an easier transition.
But I'm wondering what the issue is that requires such high pressures? If it's something like COPD, auto might be contraindicated.

Grammie - you just posted a new thread - same as this old one... can you remove the new one so we won't get confused?
Re: bi pap
My last sleep study suggested settings of 28 and 19. My machine only goes to 25. My neurologist told me to use 23 and 17, and that worked for a while. While reviewing my sleep data I noticed I was having clusters OA's while in deep sleep. I bumped up the 17 to 19 and my AHI is now less then 1 the last few months. I ended up settled at 23 and 19.
I wish you good luck!
