Aura/Everest/TwilightNP pillows?

Post by CollegeGirl » Mon Jan 22, 2007 2:17 pm

Anyone know if it's possible to buy the pillows separately? I can't seem to find them on the CPAP.com website. Thanks!

Hi CG!

You might try phoning Adam at cpap.com. Ask him if he can order the pillows assembly separately.

Looks like Invacare does have them listed in "replacement parts" (page 8 at the link below), but gosh....expensive replacement at $70!!!

Invacare site - scroll down to Page 8 - "Sleep Therapy Products and Accessories"

Perhaps post what size you need and see if someone else not using that size will sell or swap with you.

Aww, thanks RG! I knew you'd know!

I was actually just wanting the price to see if my DME would offer replacement pillows more cheaply - but I can't imagine my copay would be that different if they're so close to the price of the mask. Apria seems to not think you can order them separately. They're probably wrong - but I'm just going to stick with the mask itself for now. I'll call them back in a couple of months and see if I can get some extra pillows I'm trying to accumulate all the backups I can, now, while I still have insurance! Once I graduate, no insurance!

Good news, though - according to Apria - my insurance FINALLY bought my APAP! So I own it now! Yay!

Thanks, Linda! I'm usually good at finding stuff - surprised I couldn't find those!

I like having both size nasal seals, though - so that's $90 for both of those, OR $99 for an entire, new mask that includes both of those. Crazy. Oh well. Thanks for the link!

ROTFL!! You got that right! How funny.

To new readers....blarg's talkin' about the homemade straps (legs cut off pantyhose tights) that I use with my Aura, after removing all the regular headgear:

Ya know RG, I don't know about everyone else, but I'd love to see an actual picture of your de-cap-itated creation on your head! How 'bout it???
Come on! Be a sport!

Really? You want to see me wearing it? heheh. ok.

Jun 19, 2006 subject: rested gal's infamous pantyhose straps - deconstructed Aura

Actually, I just slapped that on fast for a picture (the Breeze, too.) Had I put the Aura on more carefully, I'd have folded the bottom "leg" strap more, so that it didn't cover my mouth. And I'd have routed the bottom strap upward, as in the mannequin head pic I posted.

Tell ya what... I promise that in a few weeks I'll get some more pictures with me in it -- exactly the way I wear it each and every night.

Wow! You look like a Ninja warrior woman! I may resort to that for my FF mask. Only 3 nights and have a sore under chin already from pulling it too tight to stop leaks. Not to mention the added sex appeal!

Thanks for sharing! You are great!
