I have access to sleep study leads. Must I be licensed/trained in sleep study to simply rent the test kits and then send the results to a board certified doctor for interpretation and treatment options? I see companies offering sleep study kits online, and they have agreements with board certified doctors so I am wondering if these companies are required to have any type of training or licensing.
Thanks,

I would think they must be licensed and certified and EDUCATED! They're dealing with lives of real people and of course could be sued up the wazoo, not to mention going to jail for doing physical damage to others.

In what context are you using the term "leads?" If leads used in a sales context such as "I have leads of persons who may want/need a sleep study," how much and what type of personal/medical data or information is included? If the answer is "a lot," are you fully aware and conversant in HIPPA requirements regarding dissemination and protection of the data/information? If not, you might want to know what you have to deal with.Richard6959 wrote:I have access to sleep study leads.
If "leads" in the physical context such as the wires used to connecting the sensors to the unit used to record and report the readings from the sensors; having the physical object does not an expert make. I can buy a fully assembled Chevrolet engine, but it doesn't make me capable of building a car. If you don't know what you are doing, don't do it.
