About two months after starting on CPAP and supplemental O2 at night I noticed some changes in my eyesight. Driving in the dark, during a rainstorm, I had to take my glasses off because I could see better without them. I am farsighted with eyesight that was excellent until I turned 46 and then my arms weren't long enough to read anything.
Anyone else have eyesight improvement? Just wondering how common this might be.
Yes, I got new glasses and the improvement, while only "barely a half a click" was documented by my doctor.

Not here, but I will ask my eye doctor when I next see him.
Happy for you.

It's been a while since I turned 46, but I remember that in my 40s or early 50s my doctor mentioned that my new prescription was a little weaker than previous. He indicated that it was not uncommon for this to happen. This was way before CPAP. Recently I had Cataract surgery and with my new lens I no longer need glasses.

Re: Eyesight Improved! Due to CPAP and Supplemental O2?
There are some links between blood pressure and glaucoma, and sleep apnea and high blood pressure. I suppose it's possible that resolving sleep apnea might affect your eyesight, but if so the link is very weak, and I would expect very few to notice this difference.
That said, my eyes had been stable for a decade until 2-3 years ago, which may be coincident to my sleep apnea becoming a problem. I was only diagnosed recently and started APAP therapy just a few weeks ago. If my eyes revert over the next year or two I'll certainly bring it up, but I'm just about to hit my 40th birthday and age probably plays a far greater role in eye changes than sleep apnea.
