Poll was set up to determine the 'weight' makeup of people who frequent the forum. The more people who respond honestly to the poll, the more an indicator of the makeup as to weight of the members HERE.

It is a very simple poll, straightforward, easy to answer because it is not based on subjective criteria.

How much credibility one places on BMI is another issue, but it appears it is used as the standard by the established medical community and I see it referenced all over the place.

Too bad I missed whatever happened in chat (or not?) Because I don't understand the value of knowing what the highest polled BMI is of people who voluntarily answer a poll yelling at them in this forum will yield. So I've opted to opt out.

On another note, how many live with their parents, are unemployed, and use psych meds regularly?
What we say reflects on the other members, or lends ballast to someone's preconceived notion.

What a great Idea!!! Can we vote more then once? I think not. Maybe I need to get a few aliases so I can do that and really fuck it up.

OK. So how do you intend to analyze your data? You do realize, don't you, that you have no way of knowing whether the response you get are representative of the members of the group? Have you considered that maybe skinny people are more prone to respond to polls? Or maybe the converse? And what about those who chose to mislead in their responses?

It's a poorly designed "experiment" that will lead to an attempt to draw conclusions based on data of unknown AND UNTESTABLE quality. It might be accepted in a grade 5 science fair, but no other credible forum would give the experiment a passing grade.

You can get just as useful data by throwing darts or dice!

Throwing darts - heads or tails. Since most of the people on the forum are American he is getting a standard answer - over 60% are overweight/obese. Nothing illuminating in the poll.
