Encore pro card reader help
Can't believe the reader got here from China today! I wasn't expecting it so soon. I plugged it into my laptop (Windows based) and it set up the driver. I haven't used the card yet but will start tonight. I'm not sure what I open the program with though. I see a Resmed folder that tells me to download the card but as it's new there is nothing on it. Is that the program I use? Are there any pointers I need to know? I have two new cards. I'm excited to finally know what goes on while I sleep!
Thanks!
Thanks!

There should be an Infineer Cardreader utility program that gets installed into your program list (Mako Technologies LLC).postitnote wrote:Can't believe the reader got here from China today! That software should be with the software that came with the Encore Pro CD. (What version of "Pro" do you have and what operating system are you running on your PC?)

In the Resmed folder i have Resmed rescan 5.1.0.8731. It looks like this would be the program. Nothing that says Infineer or Mako. I'm running Win 7.Wulfman... wrote:There should be an Infineer Cardreader utility program that gets installed into your program list (Mako Technologies LLC).postitnote wrote:Can't believe the reader got here from China today! You shouldn't need to do anything with the driver once it is loaded. when you insert the smartcard into the reader, the LED will change to Green indicating it sees the card. At that time you can tell the program to download your detailed data.

I just deleted the cpap info in my profile. Maybe it is wrong. I just got this machine and while I know it is an older model it is very low mileage! It's a Remstar M series with humidifier. I know it takes this smart card because it has the card door that would only take a credit card sized card.

Ok good then because it did that. Both cards are empty of data and new. Why did I have two cards? Did the company send me an extra by accident or do I need to swap one when I take it out?Krelvin wrote:You shouldn't need to do anything with the driver once it is loaded. when you insert the smartcard into the reader, the LED will change to Green indicating it sees the card. ResScan software is for ResMed machines...it won't work with the M series machine because that is a Respironics machine.
You need Respironics Encore software. Check your private messages.

The thread subject title says: "Encore pro card reader help".......yet the OP is asking about ResMed software?
(and I did see the "M Series" listed in the comments section of her profile.)

Re: Encore pro card reader help
No I'm confused. I saw the Resmed in my program file list and assumed...Pugsy sent me the correct files. Installing now. Not sure where or why I got the Resmed stuff. Maybe that's why my other machine is. I don't have it in front of me and my day is getting stranger by the minute! 3 year olds do that to meWulfman... wrote:I'm confused........Pugsy wrote:ResScan software is for ResMed machines...it won't work with the M series machine because that is a Respironics machine.

Re: Encore pro card reader help
I think she had ResScan on the computer because she had an old S8 machine of some sort...anyway the old machine/humidifier was ailing and we found a full data, and the price was right, M series machine for OP to use. Hence the Encore software and DT3500 Infineer card coming into the picture.

Yep, what Pugsy said coz she is a genius!
I can't wait till 12:30m am when I can go to sleep. My daughter is home from work then and I stay up in case her 3 year old wakes up. My apologies for the confusion! The ReScan file was for my old machine.

Re: Encore pro card reader help
You should be able to view the data in Respironics Encore Basic program. I assume Pugsy sent the link. If you have been using the machine with the card in the slot, you will have one-week of detailed data, and compliance data for a year or more.
I used the M-Series Auto until this past year in December, and it worked pretty good, but you will not know what you're missing until you upgrade to the current generation machines.

Re: Encore pro card reader help
I got the cards the other day and didn't put one in till tonight! I just cleared the machine and looks like it all reset except something compliance and hours which were really low 2000 something. My now retired machine had 17K on it. All out on by me too!Sleeprider wrote:You should be able to view the data in Respironics Encore Basic program. I assume Pugsy sent the link. I doubt I will upgrade to this generation of machine unless husband gets a job that offers medical and he isn't looking for one! He has great VA benefits and we pay out the nose for my insurance which has lousy DME coverage though the rest is pretty good. I'm happy with this new to me machine. I'm really low maintenance.
