Wooty, woot, woot...0 AHI

Post by tuzacat » Mon Feb 09, 2015 5:57 pm

Hello, Folks, I checked the machine this morning and it said AHI 0. Surely not, I thought, so when I got home from work I pulled up Encore Basic and it was true! I have only had that happen once in the 5 years I've been on this journey. I have been really struggling with getting the ASV to work for me consistantly and have been tweaking and tweaking to find the right combination of mask, humidity, and pressures. At present, I'm getting the best results with the Wisp, mouth taping, and a chinstrap. My Patient Triggered Breaths were up to 98% - also a first. I share this with you because there's no one close to me who can really understand this obsession I have with getting a good night's sleep. Now if I can just duplicate this tonight....

Best,
Tuza

Great news!! How do you feel today? It is Monday though...

I remember my first 0 AHI night I just sailed through the day... It really boosted my moral.

I wish you well..

I have never seen a zero.

It's okay, I'm not jealous (keep repeating, 'I'm not jealous"). Just remember, you'll probably one of us mortals by tomorrow.

I am WAY Jealous!

I once got a 0.3 - that's the closest I ever got, usually I'm around 1.5

It's nice to see people hit the gold standard, keep it up

That's great.

I got mine down to .2 one night last week but that was a fluke. Probably some kind of hickup in my machine.

Thanks for your kind thoughts! You know, I didn't feel any different yesterday, Bill, wish I could say I sailed through the day but I was still tired. I have other physical issues that contribute to my feelings of fatigue but what I have noticed is lately as I have been having some lower numbers I am not coming home from work so exhausted that all I want to do is veg out (I really try not to nap since getting to sleep can be an issue for me). Today, I was up at 5, at work by 7, went for an appointment after work at 3;30, at 4:30 I was at a rally outside our local school board and out to dinner afterward. I should be sucking my thumb at this point but although I am tired I am not ready to to call it a day yet. Progress! AHI was .1 last night. Fingers crossed ...

I had it very few times, and when the leak was really bad, it doesn't count.

Well, Chunky, I guess I won't be expecting it to happen very often since it was only twice in five years. Last night was an obnoxious night where I kept waking up - AHI 2.8. It hasn't been that high in a week or so. I hope I'm not trending up again.
