Anyone From Central Ohio Know Anything About "HomeReach

Post by JayPSU » Fri Jul 21, 2006 9:03 pm

For the hell of it I was looking through the list of DME providers recommended by my Sleep Doctor, and last on the list was HomeReach. They are a DME provider that is a branch of OhioHealth. OhioHealth is a non-profit health care provider, and its Millhon Clinic was where I had my sleep study to begin with. Why would not have been almost automatic for my doctor to send me to them? All of my experiences through the various branches of OhioHealth have been excellent, perhaps their DME provider branch is as well? ANyone know anything about them?

Here's HomeReach's website http://www.ohiohealth.com/body.cfm?id=407

Have you called your insurance and found out what DMEs they approve? Your doctor isn't the one to tell you who you can get your equipment from.

Yes, they sent me a list of in-network DME's. My insurance company is Anthem, and that list was VERY long. The doctor was just giving me a list of DME's they recommend.

A non profit DME - Hmmmmmm

Post by kteague » Sat Jul 22, 2006 7:38 am

Hi. Looked around a little because I was intrigued by the concept of a non-profit DME. It seems their Joint Commission accreditation is in order because they won an award from them. Didn't go any deeper. Please let us know your experience with them and how their pricing structure compares to those we are most familiar with.
