Yeah, that's what I look at..the pressure line. Sometimes it really spikes. I can usually spot a pattern...sleep onset I will see some pretty significant spikes which are probably sleep onset centrals...that little bugger can go from 9 to 22 in just a few seconds. Totally amazing and I sleep right through all the changes.
It also seems to respond to obstructives rather quickly but not nearly so much as with the probable centrals. This rapid response keeps my AHI remarkably low...much lower than I have ever had in the past and 0.0 nights are fairly common.

Sometimes some really big spikes in middle of the night. Not sure what they might be...REM sleep stubborn obstructives or related to an arousal from pain and then go back to sleep so maybe another sleep onset central.

I know there's a lot more movement of the pressure than I thought there would be since I didn't really have enough centrals otherwise to be a worry. Doesn't matter though..I sleep well for the most part and when I don't it isn't because of the machine but from other factors. Plus I can use 6/9 starting out the night until I get to sleep instead of 10/14 and that's soooooo much nicer.

Don't worry if you can't understand everything right away.
As long as you have the right equipment, and use it diligently, you will benefit.
After a few months, my concentration and disposition improved noticeably.

Looks like your example is from someone who has a history of problems with centrals...obviously I don't but here's mine.

General detailed report and below the zoomed in section. I go from 9 to almost 22 on this one. I don't know if I have gone much higher than 22 but this report was from night before last and in front of me so no need to go digging. Main idea is to show just how quickly it responds. I have no idea what it is responding to....no event flags and the flow rate doesn't look all that horrible either but then I am not so great with evaluating flow unless it's a change so big a blind man could see it.

Hmmmm, I think that my S8 VPAP ST may have something that tells me what % of breaths are S, for spontaneous, and what are T, for timed. I should look at that.
