preferences for linking a SleepyHead image to a post
preferences for linking a SleepyHead image to a post
I am going to be linking SleepyHead images to posts and wonder what everybody's preferences are for viewing them. In my last post I linked the image at 800x600 size so that most people on 15" laptops could see the whole image.
The alternative is to link to the image in such a way as the viewer clicks on the image and sees the whole image in full large size at the image hosting service.
What do our SleepyHead Gurus prefer?!?!?! My wish is your command!

personally, I prefer to upload mine to imgur because it's no nonsense, no frilly photo album mess, like flickr which sucks, photobucket isn't bad. the less folderol around the pics, the better.photonic wrote:I am going to be linking SleepyHead images to posts and wonder what everybody's preferences are for viewing them. Ah so, wasn't really asking about image hosters but more about size of the image for best viewing. Thoughts?

Personally, I don't mind the larger full sized images. It's easy enough to "View Image" to see the whole thing. And having the larger image makes it easier to see what's actually going on.

I like larger images also.
When they are small like yours (in another thread) I can't see the numbers easily. Just a little larger so I can see numbers a little easier.

if you resize the screen and scrunch it down, then it makes it fuzzy and harder to read for anybody trying to read it, like robysue said.photonic wrote:Ah so, wasn't really asking about image hosters but more about size of the image for best viewing. Thoughts?
best to just post a full screenshot.

Re: preferences for linking a SleepyHead image to a post
Thanks for all the feedback. TinyURL did not work well after reading all of your posts. Its direct link had tons of flashing ads YUCK.
Took your advice and went to Photobucket and the direct link gives a large version of the big picture but doesn't embed it in the text of the post which is fine.
Thanks for all the help!

Read my link on posting reports.
You probably selected Direct rather that Img to get the link.
Double clicking on the image (in the post) gets you to the image in PhotoBucket for those who want to look in detail.
