I'm told it's the S8 Autoset Vantage and I just went to Resmend site to read about it and it's right on their front page so it must be their new model. I hope it works well with the Hybrid. I may need some help understanding the machine........

Congradulations! I love mine. It does appear to be one of their latest models, and is definitely their top of the line auto.
It doesn't have C-flex in auto mode (or it's equivalent feature EPR). EPR only works in straight CPAP mode. That's ok, I don't seem to really need it in auto mode because it's always adjusting on each breath. Most of the time I wake up and can't even tell the thing is on. I just run my hand in front of my Mirage Activa and I can feel the air blowing.
To access your results menu you won't want to push the down and right arrows down for a couple of seconds because you would wisely want your DME or sleep professional to do that for you. And because you're wisely not doing this on your own, you'll also not want to push the left arrow to advance through the screens or the right arrow to exit back out one menu at a time. But this is where you would find your nightly results, as well as settings for the machine, mask, etc.
The Resmed APAP products put your info right in the little window on the machine and when you push a button the LED lights up so you can see what the machine is doing in the dark. No need for a flash light or turning on the lamp disturbing your partner.
Personally, I keep a log book next to the bed and I write down my 95% Pressure (Press), my leak rate, my AHI, AI, and HI. That way I can atleast see those numbers and compare if needed.

Maryb, I'm fiddling with it. The leak rates for the ResMed masks seem to be much lower than the hybrid. I turned the machine on while adusting the mask and found that tat the UM Full Face setting, my pressure shot up 2 cm while watching it. So, I think I'll eliminate that possibility right off of the bat! The Swift setting caused no immediate increase in pressure. The Mirage setting caused a slight (.6 cm) increase in pressure over a few minutes. I think I'm going to try the Swift settings and see how I do.
