Are you talking about the Swift FX Bella? Nose mask or pillows? I have the pillows and find that there is no sound at all as long as I make sure the seal around my nostrils is good. The pillows need to angle up a bit. Don't know about the nasal mask

You may have it strapped on at the wrong angle--when I get a good seal, mine is near-silent, even at a high pressure. Try different ways of angling it on your face (or even trying the different cushion sizes, if your DME gave them all to you; they come with the mask) until the noise lets up. For me, the fat silicon bulb/stem rests gently on my upper lip with hose hanging straight down when it fits well, but everyone's nose is a little different.

Yeah, something going on there...I was just asking my spouse if she was hearing the cpap much. She says she's not been hearing it lately. I've gotten the leaks down by wearing it a little tighter than I used to, most days my 95% leaks number is 0, or close to it. At some point I realized that I was between nasal pillow sizes, and need to wear the mask a little tighter than advised to prevent leaks and get better sleep. I also use earplugs, so I don't hear the mask or the machine much, just the rhythm of my own breathing. That also helps me.

Maybe they are making the old stuff noisier to get people to switch to the Airfit sooner.
--wouldn't put it past them. Airfit P10 is very nice, though.

its not the seal around the nose ,its the air coming through the exhalation holes that is noisy ,i think I'm going to try the swift fx nano

I'm only into my 2nd week of CPAP but I will share my experience.... hope it helps.

When I picked up my CPAP, mask, etc from my DME I had several masks (nose pillows) in mind. The Airfit P10 was my 1st choice, based on reviews, and the Swift FX was I think 3rd. I first put on the Airfit P10 and it felt fine. My breathing seemed kind of loud to me (remember, I'm new) and so I decided to also put on the Swift FX. It was noticebly "louder" so I went with the Airfit P10.

My wife, who is a very, very picky sleeper (must be dark and quiet) noted that my breathing is quieter with the Airfit P10 than before CPAP (and I'm not a snorer).

Hope that helps a bit.

I have the swift fx and the vent noise is loud (we are talking a few decibels here, not earth shattering). I tried the Tap Pap and was really impressed by how quite it is. I still use both.

Just sayin....

The AirFit P10 might be just the thing for you. The venting on it was redone to be much better diffused. When I tried it out, I couldn't hear the venting at all, very quiet compared to any other mask I've used, nasal pillow or not.

You should try it, cpap.com still has it with free return insurance, so if it doesn't work for you, you can return it and get a full refund.

I always found the Swift FX kind of noisy, worse if the hose was pointing down because the airflow bounces off EVERYTHING! Hanging the hose helped. It also reduced the conducted noise from the hose on the mattress or pillow. But it was still kind of noisy.
