What is A-Flex?

Post by kona0197 » Sat Mar 08, 2014 4:07 am

So on my machine in the settings I have a setting that toggles between A-Flex, C-Flex, and CPAP. It was set to A-Flex, level 3. I turned it to CPAP. What are these settings and what do they do? Thanks!

A-Flex is a exhalation relief setting for the PR System One machines. It can be set at 1, 2 or 3 and will lower the pressure some to make exhaling against pressure easier. A setting of 1 will give a little relief when exhaling and a setting of 2 or 3 will give more relief.

It is a comfort feature that is available and can be set and changed by the patient. Some people use it and some don't like it - personal preference.

Because I pointed you to where you could find the answer to your question instead of explaining it to you....that's being rude Because I mentioned the post where you said you were giving up CPAP....that's being rude Grow up Dude

Your post last night...CPAP MACHINE CAN GATHER DUST..For all I care. I'm done. I'm tired of trying to make this work. I've tried to make it work for a month now. Every night the mask gets ripped off. Every day I feel worse. I've tried 10 different masks. No go with any of them. The only style I haven't tried yet is Nasal Prong. I have tried using two different chinstraps. I have tried using heavy duty sleeping pills. Nothing works. Not sure what to do at this point.

Yeah but you failed to read the rest of the thread where I changed my mind, nor did you take that into consideration before posting here. So I say it again: your rude comments are not appreciated. I will just add you to my ignore list.

I did answer your question kona0197. The link you were given did not really answer the question, in my opinion.
