It isn't that patients do not want to take care of themselves and better understand and manage their conditions. It's seem that it is more that the medical profession does not really want us to take care of ourselves.

I've been on a CPAP since 2007 and believe it is the worlds best kept secret. I would not leave home without it, now that I've it. If anyone could point me to a place to buy the Encore Pro 2.4 that is Windows 7 64-bit compatible or even better would be a copy that was MAC OS 10.6 compatible (but that may never happen for the MAC), I would appreciate knowing where I could buy it from a legitimate retailer.

Some of the link offering the software for free are links to porn websites and other forms of advertisement, so I advise ever reader to beware.

Funny thing is, my wife is an insulin dependent diabetic and I bought the software to program and download the data from her insulin pump and meters, directly from the manufacture, without a prescription. The pump is user programmable and does not require a doctor to make adjustments. I am sure there is far greater risk for something to go wrong in that scenario, if we are a dumb as the medical profession treats us, than there is programming and downloading your personal CPAP.
