I finally got a call today from my primary care Doc and his nurse advised me that he would be sending my new script to a local DME. I asked the nurse not to send the script and to make me an appointment with him so that I may discuss my script and discuss my needs and desired equipment. The DME is okay as I have dealt with them on a prior occassion. I have tentivley decided on a Resmed S9 Auto set with humidifier and heated hose. I have also done research on a Respironics PR System One REMstar Auto CPAP with a flex. I will request the heated hose due to asthma and nasal congestion.
I will start therapy with a nasal mask as I seemed to do best with one during my sleep study. These seem to be top of the line machines. I already have a copy of Resscan Software ver. 4.2. Is software available for Respironics PR System one? If so, how do I obtain it have done extensive research on this forum and it seems that these are two good pieces of equipment. Would there be any other suggestions for equipment that someone would like to suggest? I have a suggested script for my Doc for the Resmed but can change it if there is something convinces me that this is not a good machine. I am looking forward to starting therapy as I have been extremely tired and in a "Fog" for quite sometime. I even had a pacemaker installed for sick sinus bradycardia in 2004 and it did not help.

Sorry for the long post and thank you for all the great information on this forum.

You can use SleepyHead software with the S9 as well as the PR System One machine.

For Respironics specific software I suggest EncoreBasic
Look in Uncle Bob's signature line

Be sure to read the Help section because it tells you how to use the software.

EncoreGuide link this will show you examples of what you will see. For a different machine than yours but the basics are the same.

I am so impressed by your dedication to educating yourself! You don't even have your machine yet, and you are so much further along that I am! I wish I had been as proactive as you are being!

Best of luck getting everything to work as needed.
