After my appointment yesterday with my DME person, I think I get it now-
Stuff on the screen is blue until you push the dial to "select" it. That's like double-clicking your computer mouse on something. So, to change the humidity or temperature, you scroll with the dial until the water drop thing is highlighted (it's in the middle on my machine). Then you push on the dial and it should highlight in orange. While it's orange, you can change the numbers by turning the dial. Then, you can either push the dial again to "deselect," or leave it alone and it'll go back to blue on its own.
Hope that helps!
If you start the machine blowing, you can just turn the knob to change the humidity level. It will remember the humidity level you set.

While you're fiddling with the knob and air is blowing, the light in the humidifier will be orange if the heater is turned on, and blue if you've turned the heat off. The light goes out shortly after your stop fiddling with the knob.

Go to the Setup function. Got to where it says STANDARD. If it says ON, turn it to OFF. the STANDARD setting decides how much humidity and heat it will put out, and you will probably not get the humidity you need. Once the standard setting is disuconnected, set your humidifier to C5. You Will get some condensation in your hose, so shake out the water if it starts getting noisy. you can heat up the water prior to use by holding down the button for about 10 seconds and the blue water symboly will appear. Heat up your ater fro about 30 minutes. or here's an idea. Start with Warm water in the reservior. Good luck.
