What is the most extravagant thing you bought for Cpap use

Post by squid13 » Tue Dec 18, 2012 3:14 pm

The most extravagant thing I bought for myself was this dryer from cpap.com. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/mvap-h ... dryer.html I really love this thing and yeah I know it was $149 but I'm worth it. Forgot my bedside Zeo and oximeter.

Same here, I really like the dryer. The other thing is the battery pack and associated electronics for camping. That's about it.

Is that dryer the same as a dish dryer you can buy for half the cost?

The timer has three automatic shut-off settings: 15, 30, or 60 minute dry times. As a precaution, the temperature controls are automatic and keep the cabinet temperature under 121 degrees Fahrenheit. The Hurricane Dryer comes with a special drying port for use with a CPAP hose. Just connect the end of the hose to the drying port found inside the cabinet. No I don't think there the same.

For me, its probably a bedside Zeo unit and wrist oximeter. I'm also in the process of ordering a dedicated travel unit.

I've been wondering... why the dryer?? I let my stuff dry at room temperature. What does the dryer offer?

Sheriff
I probably should get a dryer of some sort. I hang my hoses on a coat rack and a week later, you can still see water in it. I switch between heated and not heated hoses.

I've been meaning to get this Datavac dust blower to blow dust out of my computers. Its a really strong blower that people also use to dry off their motorcycles. Runs about $52. Should be able to blow all of the water out in seconds.

i'm thinking about getting that dryer now. i washed my hose 10 days ago and hung it over my door to dry. today i still see tiny beads of water in there. that can't be good if mold and other nasty things start to grow inside.

I put my hose, mask and water tank in there and 15 minutes later it's dry. I use to hang my hose and a week later it still had water beads in it. This way I wash, dry and I'm done.
