After reading about those blood vessel stents to keep clogged arteries open, the inventor in me has grabbed my kids slinky, dipped it in olive oil and
pushed it down my throat. Seems like it has the potential to keep the
airway open. If you are as desperate as I am for some good sleep, you
will understand.

I would only use the plastic type since the metal ones will rust !

What a daft idea
Obviously, olive oil just won't work, you'd never keep it in place.
It has to be superglue......

Thats a BIG negative on the super glue. That may cause iether an illergic reaction, or quite possibly get permanantly glued to your throat. I'd try velcro. And yes, plastic is a far better idea.
