What are some of the most comfortable Full Face Masks?

Post by Tarutan » Mon Jul 23, 2012 3:33 pm

I have been using the Mirage Quattro for about a month and I realized that it is terrible and it will not be something that I can sleep with every night, and I called in my DME to exchange it.

The thing is, I have kind of a round face, and the sides of the quattro are kind of narrow and pointy, it leaks alot unless i tighten it really tight. If I don't tighten it air leaks out when I try to inhale and the pressure builds up. It leaks around the pointy edges of the mask.

Try Quattro FX - Its softer, lighter than the Quattro and without the forehead dial

If you can use a nasal mask, try the Activa LT nasal mask

The Respcare/Innomed Hybrid, really small footprint for a ffm. Just pillows and a mouth piece, nothing over your nose, you can wear your glasses with this mask.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

You are going to find as many different responses to this request as there are FF Masks. Every face is different. To me the most comfortable FF Mask is the one you don't like...the Quattro.

I'm pretty certain that the most comfortable FF mask is the one that fits YOUR face the best. But what do I know, I'm just the crazy fool on this forum.

Sometimes what makes a mask more comfortable or reduces leaks is a mask liner. Click here to read some reviews and thoughts on pad a cheek mask liners.

I have a round-ish face and have found that the PR ComfortGel Full works best for me. Keep trying until you find one that's right for you!

I ended up getting a new mask from my DME, the Quattro FX. This mask is SO much better. Virtually no leaks, its lighter, and way more comfortable. I could actually watch TV with it on. I slept 10 hours straight with it after not sleeping well last few nights. Love it!

Comfortgel Full face is the most comfortable (for me) with good leak line.
Others are more comfortable, but the leak rates are horrible.
My new Amara last night: 112+.
If I can't get this to seal better; back it goes! (and it feels SO nice! )
I will be tweaking the adjustments, and have a mask liner that will fit--wish me luck!
