error codes respironics cpap
I have a REMstar plus CPAP, which woke me up last night as it was not flowing air at all. It had an error code E34. When I unplugged it and plugged it back in it seemed to reset and work OK for the remainder of the night. The manual that comes with it is very uninformative, just tells me to not use it if it gives any kind of error code. It is, of course, a holiday weekend. Is there any way to find out what the error code means? I would like to continue use through the weekend until I can contact where I can have it repaired if needed.

C-1 SMARTCARD_12C_WRITE_FAIL Card inserted upside-down. Remove card and reinsert properly. Otherwise, card is corrupt and should be reprogrammed.
C-2 SMARTCARD_BAD_CARD_TYPE Card is not supported by this device. Otherwise, card is corrupt and should be reprogrammed.
C-3 SMARTCARD_BAD_CIB_VERSION Card is corrupt and should be reprogrammed.
C-4 SMARTCARD_SCRIPT_DURING_PROVIDER_MODE Remove card. Exit Provider Mode screens. Then reinsert card.

To me says they say send it in for factory repair work (main PCA is like Ford telling you need a new engine in your car).
I would try the normal... unplug it.... hit the power button... wait a few hours and plug it in again.
If it repeats that, see if you can get to the "reset everything mode" and use it. If that doesn't fix it, it has to go back.
Call the company who makes it and ask them about it. They may be seeing lots of these and just know they can't fix it in the field.

Your DME should have 24 hour service. Call them for a loaner while they send yours out for repair/replacement. That's why they're paid the big bucks...
