Sunburn and CPAP

Post by morfenmom » Sun Apr 29, 2012 8:48 am

Hi everyone! I have a short term issue!

I got pretty sunburned yesterday. Last night, the mask hurt way too much to wear. Is there something quick and easy to do so that I don't go without again tonight? Also for future reference, since it will probably happen again sometime.

I would recommend aloe for the sunburn. You might try making a mask liner out of an old T shirt or soft cloth. Sometimes that silicone can be irritating, even w/o a sunburn. Most importantly, use sunscreen and a hat next time you're out in the sun!

A real live alovera plant or a bottle of the good stuff from the store. That usually helps sun burn quickly.

You mentioned next time! Next time use sun screen or a hat so you don't increase your chances of skin cancer.

Ok, I am editing becasue I hadn't noticed someone else posted just before me. Same suggestion. Good advice.

Oh thats gotta hurt. Try sleeping in a recliner or propped up in bed. Sunblock is now your 2nd best friend (cpap the 1st) yes!! And make that sun block the highest spf you can get.......sunburn is not a funny thing, skin cancer is NO fun!
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

If you let it happen again...you deserve the hurt.
