chest pain?

Post by suebee3 » Fri Mar 09, 2012 10:50 am

I've been on CPAP for a little over a year, and doing very well with it. Lately I've been having chest pains and after being checked out by my Doctor, EKG, x-rays, even a nuclear stress test, everything came back "in normal range".

What I'm wondering is, is there any possible way that CPAP could cause chest pains?

No not after a year unless it is an Auto suddenly going to much higher pressures for some reason.

Check GERD, acid reflux can cause it too. Also go see an good pulmonologist for breathing related issues.

Ditto on the GERD evaluation and even other possible abdominal issues.
My mom was recently hospitalized initially with pretty classic heart attack related symptoms.
Turned out she had a sick gallbladder that made her pancreas sick and the "chest" pain was from the abdominal issues.

I used to wake up (in the morning) with a sore chest the first few months on CPAP (I'm at 7 months now). I think it was caused by cold air. I set mine for 80 degrees, and the soreness went away.
