Bella users--
Is anyone else having an issue with the straps being fine and the mask not leaking for days, and then it starts leaking even though the settings are the same?

I would have to say yes, but even though the settings on the loops are the same, there is so much variability as to where the straps land on my cheeks, that when the leaks start I always feel that it is because of the placement being off a couple centimeters. When my machine starts a leak beep, a slight tug up or down on my cheeks seems to end it.

If I was into tattoos, which I'm not, i suppose I could have the ideal place on each cheek permanently marked. Short of that, I don't know any way of being more consistent in placement, so I feel resigned to the minute adjustments when the leak beep goes on. And of course even if they start out in the right place, they can move slightly when I move around and lay on one cheek or the other during the night.

Wish there was a better solution.

Nate

I agree with NateS on this one, it also seems to be affected by how I have the pillow smushed under my head, but I LOVE the Bella Loops even on the nights I have to futz with it! Now if it had the swivel feature like on the new mask coming out by Devliss (sp) it would be even better as I don't quite see how to get the pillows horizontal to the nasal opening it seems in the directions the pillow itself picture is exactly opposite of the total head shot pix. Anyone else notice this?

[quote="SleepingUgly"]I wish they would stop with the pink! I have a boy who fits in the "for her" gear better than the for him/generic, and 8-year-old boys are not wild about pink.

Maybe Susan G. Komen for the Cure had something to do with the pink color...[/quot

I just got my Bella mask today without ear loops but both gray and pink cheek covers. The enclosed booklet said it could be orderd with either pink or gray headstrap. It is so small and light already but I still would like to try the ear loops. I've been hosing for 7 years and got a new machine too...the S9 with the SD card. Can this be read and loaded onto your computer or just read in the machine? I had the old Remstar Pro meatloaf with smart card but I couldn't load the software and card reader on my new Win7 computer. I like to keep track of things so being able to put it on my computer would be great.

Outside of dogs I like best to read. Inside a dog, it's too dark.

Exactly! I agree with Nate also.

And on those nites that nothing is going well, I feel the straps behind my ears and it bothers me a bit. When it's a good nite... I don't feel a thing. Crazy how that works. It's still better than the original headgear.

Yes. You can easily use the software available. ResScan or SleepyHead. I have links for SleepyHead in my signature line.
If your computer has a slot for the SD card you need nothing else. If your computer does not have a SD slot you only need a generic adapter/reader for the SD card. One end to plug into a USB port on the computer and one end to slide the SD card in.
You also have data available on the LCD screen of the machine.
You may need to turn Sleep Quality to "ON" as default is "Usage" which is hours of use only.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the Bella ear straps. They are actually soft and "flimsy" but once the nasal pillows rest gently on the nostrils, I had absolutely no difficulty or discomfort. And better yet, NO snagged up hair in the morning! I turn over in my sleep and it was still no problem. I've only used them for a could night now, but there is so much more freedom and, for me, dignity, that I am thrilled. Now if only the hose could be less stiff/rigid. I have never bought a cover for the hose but am thinking of it. Anyhow, I have experienced absolutely no discomfort or difficulty of use!
