Logging on

When I log on, I check the box that says: Log me on automatically each visit. I still have to keep logging on every time. Does anyone else have this problem? I get tired of going through the steps each time. I'm lazy, so what. Thanks in advance to all who respond .

Have you tried searching the forum for people who have had this logon problem before? There is a thread at the very top of the home page that has someone who found the problem.

The server was changed last week - any issues put it there.

Can someone explain in simple terms on what Gumby explained? How to delete cookies. I have cpaptalk.com icon on my desktop and in my favorites. Would this prevent me from automatically being logged in?

Try this.
Start by deleting all board cookies. Look at the bottom right side of the main forum page in blue line to left of All times thing.
It says "delete all board cookies". Click on that.. it will ask you to confirm. Click...yes.
Close your browser.
Open your browser... go to cpap.talk log in and log in again with password, check mark to stay logged in, and go.

See if the cookies will stick this time. It will be a new cookie for the new server and hopefully will keep you logged in.

If it doesn't work we need to know what browser you use as old cookie may be still stuck in there somewhere.
Browser....FireFox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome or whatever.

I did what you told me to do.Now will log out (Gabe) always stay like that? On other things I do, I have to click on log in.

If you actually click on the Log out button when you leave the forum each time, then you will need to log back in each time.

If you log in and put the check mark in "always keep me logged in"....then if you leave the forum by closing out the page and then come back, you shouldn't need to log in again.

Yes, some forums and websites do require a log in each time. It is the way they are set up but some forums do create the little cookies that will keep you logged in if you wish to stay logged in and the forum allows it.
Shopping on the web will usually require log in each time. It is a safety feature.
Discussion forums don't really have any personal information which could be stolen.

If you don't want to have to log in each time here....do not click on the log out button on the top right.

Thanks Pugsy, now I'll have to wait when I close out from cpap forum to find out if it works. What was so hard about that? You always come through.
