Don't put a cup of salsa near your CPAP air intake.

BLEH! Did this last night, and started getting a sore throat.

Has anyone put anything "good" near their intake, such as vapor rub, or something else to help clear congestion. Or even scents?

Got it...avoid salsa near intake......also...based on a previous topic....keep tube away from toilet.

Next bit of homespun advice: Disconnect your mask from the machine BEFORE you head for the bathroom in the middle of the night....OUch! Better still.....simply take the mask off!!!

My dog sleeps on the floor next to the head of my bed.
Note to self: do NOT let anyone feed the dog stuff that causes gas. The xPAP will most dutifully shoot it right up your nose under pressure.

Blech!

Another posting from another forum told about his experience in getting his mask off in record time.

He had a large dog, a golden retriever , iirc.

He loved to sleep curled around the PAP unit on the floor.

One night the dog had a very bad case of gas.

He does not sleep there anymore.
