I am a lifetime WW member and have done very well on that program. Two years ago I experienced the most personally stressful year of my life and kind of gave up on my maintenance efforts. For years I had a terrific leader who had the ability to really connect with his group and that was no doubt part of my progress. However, he left the organization (essentially forced out) and that only added to the effects of the other stresses. I am now feeling that am a bit more able to face losing the extra that I have gained. Surely part of that motivation is that I feel better now that the OSA is being managed. I feel calmer and that is a good omen towards weight loss. I have not found a local WW group that can compare to what I had experienced previously and that has been frustrating. But the incredibly positive experience I have found here in this online forum for apnea has made me consider joining the online WW version. Question: has anyone here experienced that online WW and found it to be good, helpful, supportive, motivating, educational, trustworthy etc etc ??? (sort of like cpaptalk? ) Or maybe there is another online weight loss forum that you think is great???
thanks for any feedback

you could try sparkpeople. Seems to be more interaction between the people there than at WW online

How about just finding a therapist who will help you on your weight loss journey. There are usually many hidden reason behind the weight that should be explored it you are going to be successful and any good therapist can help with that. Look for someone with behaviour modification skills.

I had used WW online a few years back and had good success. The online forums were the saving grace of it, much like with CPAPTalk.com. Coincidentally, I'll be going back on the program starting next week! I, too, ran into a stress period and threw diet out the window, but it's time to get back on track for me.

I've been using WW Online since the end of Dec. I am down 24 lbs., and I feel great. I remember trying WW over 20 yrs. ago and hated going to meetings. The online version is wonderful because of all the eTools you get to use. I have the app on my iPod Touch as well. This allows me to use the tools when I am shopping, eating out, or just want to look up point values of foods away from the computer. I don't really use the forums and other group stuff on the online site because a group of friends and I have a Facebook group that we started Jan. 1 to support each other in our quest to lose weight and get healthy. However, I have looked at all the WW Online offerings, and it is fabulous stuff. I love their recipes and often share those on FB with my friends. I think you would love it.....
AND...... until June 18, you can join WW Online and get the $25.95 membership waived!! Monthly use of the eTools and support runs about 60 cents a day.... less than a cup of java!

Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.
