Not a bad idea at all. EXCEPT I'm pretty sure the minimum Ramp time setting is 5 minutes.

I think it would be a bad idea.
Your breathing patterns can/could change from night to night or during any given night.......depending on what sleep stage you're in.

Ramp settings are like training wheels on a bicycle. The sooner you can get by without them, the better.
