That strap is VERY close to the eye!sydneybird wrote: but this may make for puffy eyes in the morning.

No way will I go near this one.
Any mask that doesn't allow the hose to go over the top of my head is automatically dismissed. This might be OK for back sleepers, but I'm not one of them.
As retro as it is, I have never found a mask more comfortable and unobtrusive as the Adam Circuit. And how I feel, as well as my stats over the past 7+ years, proves that it's getting the job done.

WOW--that mask is for sure going to leave Major strap marks!! it is too close to the eyes as well----no woman is going to want this mask anyways so they might as well go back to the drawing boards!!! LOL! Don't bother making a "woman's" version--hahahaa!!
It shows a guy sleeping on his back--yeah right --How many of us sleep on our backs>? not me and those straps are gonna dig into your face even more if you are a side sleeper.
Gals--try the SWIFT LT for HER or the Swift FX for her---both are VERY comfortable and with the fleece Pad A CHeek covers --no strap marks in the morning.

This new mask seems to have the same headgear shape as the Resmed Mirage Liberty full face mask, with that semi-rigid part of the headgear beside the nose. I have never tried the Liberty so don't know how that feels but some have. These people might know how that feels and whether it leaves marks or causes puffiness at the eyes.

From the PR site (http://www.healthcare.philips.com/main/ ... /index.wpd) describing the mask:
If "pre-formed" means rigid or semi-rigid, but NOT soft (like the silicone in the FX's frame), then those straps that "hug" the cheeks to provide the extra stability will either fit your face (and you'll probably love the mask) or they'll dig in somewhere in a most uncomfortable fashion and you'll hate it. Just my two cents ...It features straightforward, pre-formed headgear and self-adjusting, optimally angled nasal pillows for a one-step fit.

Right - robysue.
As with virtually all cpap masks, some will love it and some will hate it! For some, it will work great, for others it will not work at all. 'twas every this!

Re: Men-- new Nasal Pillow Mask from Respironics out now
Well in my option is that the Resmed Mirage Liberty full face mask uses a sifter plate goes near the sides of the eyes with wider straps and the Respironics seems to be padded hard plastic if my previous try of the Opilife was of any indication. While even the best rated mask may not fit with some people I have better luck with Resmed. Time will tell if the new Respironics mask will work with more poeple.Hawthorne wrote:This new mask seems to have the same headgear shape as the Resmed Mirage Liberty full face mask, with that semi-rigid part of the headgear beside the nose. I wonder if the Optilife pillows are interchangeable with this new mask?
