How much leak is too much?

I've been on CPAP for almost a month now and I can honestly say that I'm feeling better... I still have my sleepy days (and from what I've read here, this is normal while I repay my sleep deficit), but on the whole, I feel better (my chronically stuffed sinuses are not as stuffed) and I am not falling asleep behind the wheel of my car nearly as much as I used to (to this day, I don't know how I've made it through the 25 minute drive to work without having crashed my car into anything).

That said, according to the ResScan data on my SD card, I am still experiencing extensive mask leak on a nightly basis. I can't feel the leak when I fall asleep or when I wake up in the morning (mind you, there have been nights when I've awoken to find the mask off of my face) and I'm trialing some Remzzz's pads (last night, my first night with them, was bad, as the mask came off) to see if that will hep.

I was just wondering how much leak, over and above the red line on the ResScan data, is unacceptable? The overnight sensors say I have leak issues, but I can't readily feel any obvious leaks on my face when I hook everything up at bedtime and so I don't know what else to do to try to eliminate them. Also, when I do a fit test with my machine, I invariably get that obnoxiously cheerful green happy face.

Is it plausible to have the CPAP machine detect leak without actually feeling them or having the leaks affect treatment?

As always, thank you in advance for your input and advice!

Since I'm just getting started with an S9 and all the data it collects, I've been looking for more information about the reports that the software generates. I found the write-up at wiki/index.php/Mask_Leaks to be a great introduction to the topic of leaks.
